Since running a co-op, Kristen understands how challenging choosing the right school can be for families. Roanoke school choice is vast and there are options. Within a 30 mile radius of Downtown Roanoke, Virginia there are governor’s schools, public schools, private, Montessori, forest school, online, and homeschool options.

 

Roanoke Public Schools

Roanoke City Schools provides a school zone locator. Considering purchasing a home and wanting to see which public school is zoned for your student, just type in the property address. In addition, some students may qualify for transferring within the city to a different school. Legal guardians may apply between March 15th-April 15th for the following school year here.

Roanoke Private Schools

Roanoke and the surrounding area has several private schools. Infants can start at local Parent Morning Out programs, and in some schools at 8 weeks old.
